For an organization to function effectively it has to identify and manage numerous linked activities. Coordinated integration and implementation of the service management processes provides for ongoing control, greater efficiency and opportunities for continual improvement. This includes a consistent approach by all service providers in a supply chain, benchmark IT service management, the basis for an independent assessment, to demonstrate the ability to meet customer requirements, improve services, and having the advantage over competitors when potential customers will tender for their services.
