Following ISO/IEC 90003:2014 “Software Engineering: Guidelines for the Application of ISO 9001:2008 to Computer Software” can be confusing and labor intensive because directions in the standard may seem unclear or ambiguous. Accordingly, experts at SEPT have created this checklist to help insure that you produce the appropriate work products when following the subject standard. Each clause in ISO/IEC 90003:2014 was reviewed for key words that signify a required policy, procedure, plan, record, document, audit, or review. The resulting checklist provides an easy-to-use, categorized list of physical evidence against which you can audit your work products to help insure conformance with the standard.
The checklist is a tool that allows you to review progress and compliance with the standard with fellow workers, project management, and outside auditors. It provides a common reference point in the standard (Clause number) that becomes an index for filing physical evidence. If a standard calls for a document, policy, etc. more than once, that item is indexed to the first clause that references it. This helps organize your physical evidence in a systematic manner for reviewing with an auditor or other project personnel.
The checklist is available in PDF or Word format. The latter format allows you to more easily tailor it to your specific organization or project. It also facilitates migration to other formats, such as a spreadsheet.
For 60 days after purchase of this product, the publisher provides up to 4 hours of free consultation to answer questions about the checklist and the standards it addresses.
